Terroir
Whole bunches are pressed in pneumatic presses to avoid any crushing and to respect the raw material as much as possible. The juices are separated to optimise the quality of our wines. After static settling, the wines ferment under temperature control at around 21°-22°, and are then matured on fine lees for 7 to 9 months. After filtration, the wines are bottled all at once and matured in our cellars for a minimum of 1 to 3 years.
This Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Osterberg has a fresh nose of flowers and spices. It is perfectly enhanced by fine, ripe acidity, which lengthens the wine. Very typical of the terroir, it expresses the minerality of the Osterberg.
What to marry it with?
Enjoy this Gewurztraminer with strong cheeses (Munster) or a lamb tagine with prunes.
