Terroir
The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand. Whole bunches are pressed in pneumatic presses to avoid any crushing and to respect the raw material as much as possible. The juices are separated to optimise the quality of our wines. After static settling, the wines ferment under temperature control at around 21°-22°, and are then matured on fine lees for 9 to 11 months. After filtration, the wines are bottled all at once and matured in our cellars for a minimum of 1 to 3 years.
This Pinot Gris Grand Cru Gloeckelberg has an intense nose with typical smoky notes underlined by a touch of candied fig. Full-bodied and structured on the palate, with a well-balanced finish.
What to marry it with?
This Pinot Gris Grand Cru Gloeckelberg is the ideal accompaniment to pan-fried foie gras. Great with mushroom-based dishes, duck, roast veal or game.
