In Alsace, vines are considered ‘old’ when they are 25 years old or more. At Ribeauvillé, our old vines are at least 30 years old. They have low yields, producing rich, complex wines.

Terroir
The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand.
Whole bunches are pressed in pneumatic presses to avoid crushing. The juices are separated to optimise the quality of our wines. After static settling, the wines are fermented under temperature control and then matured on fine lees for 7 months.
This Pinot Noir Vieilles Vignes has a dark red colour. On the palate, it has lovely red fruit notes with complex vanilla aromas.
What to marry it with?
Enjoy this Pinot Noir with red meats in sauce, small game or hard cheeses such as Comté, Tomme des montagnes or Abondance.
